About Me:
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist. I am EMDR Trained. I work with children ages 3 and up, teens, young adults, and parents.
Helping kids and teens feel understood and helping parents feel like they're doing it "right" is the heart of what I do. Being a parent to a dysregulated child can be overwhelming and confusing. You don't have to do it alone anymore.
I am trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy and Trauma-Focused CBT. I have experience working with child crime victims, foster youth, juvenile detention, sensory processing disorders, learning disorders, traumatic grief, and navigating risky teen behaviors. I feel incredibly grateful to be in a profession where I get to support people through meaningful growth and healing.
I believe therapy works best as a collaborative, supportive relationship. You are the expert in your own life—I'm here to provide a safe space, tools, and encouragement as you move toward self-awareness, confidence, and lasting change. My approach is interactive, genuine, and tailored to your unique needs.
With kids and teens, I focus on emotion regulation, processing uncomfortable experiences, and building coping skills and self-confidence. I also work closely with parents to provide guidance and support as they navigate the ups and downs of raising a dysregulated or struggling child.
The methods I draw from include Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma- Focused Cognitive Bhevaioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and Client-Centered Therapy.
I truly believe it takes a ton of courage and bravery to take this step into counseling. I value vulnerability and take great care to provide a healing and welcoming space for everyone.
