About Me:
Hello, I’m so glad you’re here! I’m Kyla Green, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Traci Marant, LPC-S. I work with children, teens, young adults, adults and parents. I specialize in working with teens and young adults who’re experiencing anxiety, life transitions, and/or grief. When appropriate, I also partner with parents, providing support and empowering them in the influential role that they play within their child’s life.
I’m committed to providing clients with a safe, non-judgmental environment where they feel comfortable openly sharing their story and moving toward healing and thriving. During sessions, I will journey alongside you and/or your child at the pace that feels most comfortable, offering empathy, hope, and unwavering support.
In working with me, clients receive an individualized, evidence-based treatment plan that is tailored to their unique needs. Therapeutic approaches I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Play Therapy. I also incorporate mindfulness techniques, expressive arts, and elements of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI). Before becoming a counselor, I completed my undergraduate degree at UT Austin (hook ‘em!), and I received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University.
Outside of work, I’m a wife, mother, sister, and friend who’s also navigating the everchanging seasons of life. I live in Austin with my husband and daughter, and I greatly enjoy spending time outside, sharing a meal with friends, or listening to an interesting podcast.
