About Me:
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 10 years of experience supporting patients, and their families, in mental health services. My specializations relate to issues including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, fertility/postpartum, intimacy and relationship issues. I'm also a trained Gottman Level 3 therapist. I'm passionate about partnering with individuals and couples as they navigate their journey of becoming a parent and family – including postpartum mental health and fertility/prenatal. I utilize a variety of approaches when working with clients including client centered therapy, attachment based, narrative therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I may additionally incorporate mindfulness practices, play therapy, and art into my therapeutic interventions dependent on the goals of the client.
I work with clients from all walks of life (child/adolescents/adults). Some of my other fruitful endeavors include partnering as an assessment staff member with a local psychiatric and substance abuse hospital, serving as a professor at Houston Christian University, and providing supervision to graduate level therapists. When not in the office, I'm enjoying time with my family, kayaking, or building a woodworking project.
