About Me:
My name is Kate Benton, and I am a clinical intern supervised by Traci Marant, LPC-S. I am currently in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Lamar University. I have seventeen years of experience with Child Protective Services where I have worked with families and children from various backgrounds. I have a passion for working with children and families. My goal is to become trained in play therapy, TBRI, and EMDR. I love working with children with trauma backgrounds or who are navigating the foster care system. I am humbled by this opportunity and I am passionate about helping others navigate all of life's challenges.
I live in Burnet, Texas with my husband, two children, and two dogs. I love sports, going to the lake and coast, fishing, and spending as much time as I can with my friends and family.
