About Me:
I am Jenna Young, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Traci Marant, LPC-S. I received my master’s degree from Lamar University in Counseling and Development and have experience working with children, teens, their parents/families, and adults. I incorporate modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Play Therapy, and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) principles into counseling. My approach is client-centered, focusing on building a safe, empathetic, and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions.
I am passionate about helping individuals navigate their challenges and uncover their strengths. I aim to create a space where clients can feel comfortable sharing their experiences without judgment. I am committed to being an active listener and a source of unwavering support, helping clients of all ages cultivate resilience and positive change in their lives. Together, we’ll work towards your goals at a pace that feels comfortable for you, ensuring that you feel supported every step of the way.
I live in the Georgetown area with my husband and our two cats, Blue and Benji. In my spare time you can find me reading, spending time with family, and practicing self-care.
